Children
Therapeutic support for young children to help them express emotions, build coping skills, and navigate challenges at home, school, and with peers.
At Clear Mind, we use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help children manage anxiety, ADHD, behavioral challenges, learning differences, and social difficulties. Our therapists provide a supportive space where kids can understand how their brains work, build confidence, and develop practical skills for daily life, while collaborating with parents and schools to create a plan that truly meets each child’s needs.
Children Ages 5-12
At Clear Mind, our therapists believe in the efficacy of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for children and view themselves as supportive and knowledgeable conduits of change for families experiencing a wide range of psychological challenges including anxiety, ADHD, behavioral issues, school refusal, learning challenges, and problems with friendships, amongst others. We look forward to collaborating with you to help provide therapy that will relieve your child’s symptoms and make a constructive plan for the future.
School is essentially a kid’s workplace. There is pressure to perform and succeed. If an adult had to show up to work every day and feel insecure, overwhelmed and exhausted they would seek a new job. Kids with ADHD, big emotions, sensory sensitivities or learning differences can’t quit school. Many show up every day and have to work extraordinarily hard just to keep up. At Clear Mind Westchester we give kids a space where they don’t have to perform. With the help of a thorough evaluation, our therapists work hard to help kids understand how their own brains work so that they don’t get discouraged. Having a unique brain doesn’t make you stupid. Many kids who come to us don’t know that there is a difference. We collaborate with parents and schools to ensure that the plan for addressing each kid’s needs is working optimally.
