Insurance and Benefits

We are an out-of-network provider, which means we do not bill insurance directly. However, many insurance plans offer partial or full reimbursement for mental health services from out-of-network providers.

Getting Reimbursed

To help you access your benefits efficiently, here are some key questions to ask your insurance company:

  • Do I have out-of-network benefits for mental health services?
  • How much does my plan cover for an out-of-network provider?
  • How do I access the necessary reimbursement forms?
  • Do I have an annual session limit?
  • What is my deductible and current balance?
  • What percentage of the fee is reimbursed per session?

Good Faith Estimate

Under the law (Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act), you have the right to a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency services if you are not using insurance.

  • You can request a written Good Faith Estimate from us before scheduling a service.
  • If your final bill is $400 or more higher than the estimate, you can dispute it.
  • Keep a copy of your Good Faith Estimate for your records.

Our Approach

At Clear Mind Westchester, we believe that therapy works best when it is collaborative, personalized, and compassionate. Every individual—child, teen, or adult—brings a unique story, and our role is to walk alongside you in a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space.

Children and Adolescents

We use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help children and teens navigate the challenges of growing up. CBT is collaborative, flexible, and even fun, helping young clients develop step-by-step strategies to address everyday problems. Teens, whose brains often think in extremes, benefit from DBT’s five modules, which teach emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and impulse control.

We also recognize the added pressures of social media, peer dynamics, and identity formation. Our clinicians provide a safe space to explore these challenges, always affirming LGBTQ+ identities. For parents, we offer guidance through The Kazdin Method and SPACE training, helping families build effective strategies for supporting anxious or sensitive children.

Emerging Adults

Young adulthood can be a time of confusion and growth, as individuals navigate career paths, relationships, and core identity questions. We support emerging adults with goal setting, mindfulness-based stress reduction, and therapeutic exploration to clarify values and reduce stress.

Trauma and Symptom-Focused Care

For clients experiencing trauma, anxiety, or other distressing symptoms, we employ CBT, EMDR, somatic techniques, and Internal Family Systems. These approaches help individuals process traumatic experiences, challenge negative thought patterns, and regain a sense of agency and control. Therapy fosters resilience, self-understanding, and long-term well-being.

Couples and Relationship Support

We offer Emotion-Focused Therapy, Relational Psychodynamic Therapy, and the Gottman Method to help couples rebuild trust, improve communication, and strengthen emotional and physical intimacy. Our work focuses on uncovering underlying issues, fostering connection, and repairing relationship ruptures.

Addiction and Recovery

Our comprehensive approach to addiction addresses both physical dependence and underlying emotional and psychological factors. We provide tools for coping, relapse prevention, and emotional regulation, while supporting clients in building a network for sustained recovery and a fulfilling life.

Our Commitment

We integrate evidence-based practices with warmth, empathy, and individualized care. Whether addressing specific symptoms, exploring deeper psychological patterns, or supporting family and relational dynamics, we work collaboratively to develop a treatment plan that is as unique as you are.
