Meet Stephanie
Stephanie Kasen, LMHC
Stephanie Kasen is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with years of experience working with private clients and in clinical settings including Hazelden Betty Ford, Inter-Care, and City Behavioral Health. Her post-graduate training includes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Polyvagal Theory. She also has specialized training and extensive experience in the areas of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and treatment of substance use.
Stephanie’s approach is to meet you where you are and build a relationship on the foundation of trust, collaboration, and support. Stephanie’s goal is to help you understand your own psychology better so you can experience the internal shifts and insights that allow for new possibilities for your life.
She also utilizes evidence-based behavioral strategies which offer practical tools, skills, and models to encourage more helpful ways of thinking, enable you to relate to difficult thoughts and feelings more skillfully and to implement behavioral changes that allow you to live a more joyful and fulfilling life.
Stephanie lives in Rye, New York with her three children and her sweet Cavapoo Phoenix. In addition to her work as a psychotherapist, Stephanie has a creative background as an improvisor and performer and facilitates interactive workshops on communication skills and leadership development for corporate clients. When she’s not working, she’s hiking, working out at F45, traveling or spending time with friends and family.
