Brave Kids Summer Group 

Emotional Management and Social Opportunity Group

Kids ages 7-10. Jaime Karp, LMHC

Kids feel understood, confident and empowered when they learn together!

For kids ages 7-10 with big feelings or who struggle in relationships

Kids of the same age will connect and learn how to grow relationships in a safe environment. Emotional regulation skills, labeling feelings and handling big feelings in public and at home will be the focus of this curriculum.

Adolescent Support Group

Shauna (Weinstein) Lynch, Ph.D.

This group is for all teens looking to connect with peers. The group will discuss a range of topics, including navigating relationships (with friends, romantic partners, and parents/family), managing stress and dealing with strong emotions. Participants will learn skills to help them tackle various problems they may be facing, like fallouts with friends or time management issues that affect grades. Participants will be able to learn from each other and to get and give support to one another. All you need to bring is an open mind!

Parenting Children With Big Emotions

Summer two-day workshop 

For Parents of Kids ages 6 and up. Hilary Cooper, Ph.D. and Allison Stahl, LCSW

Our parenting curriculum teaches parents how to regulate their own emotions while parenting a child with big emotions. The group addresses differences in parenting styles, the importance of value-driven expectations, and provides parents with evidence-based skills that will help when confronted by their children’s reactions to big feelings.

Preparing Kids for College

Kids and Parents Separate

Shauna (Weinstein) Lynch, Ph.D. and Kate Chittenden Psy.D.

For students at the early stages of their college journey. Simultaneous sessions for parents and students. These workshops will focus on the skills that are needed to navigate being away from home, roommates, social pressures, time management and taking care of your physical and emotional health. You will connect with other students/parents who are experiencing the same things you are. College can be amazing and challenging at the same time and this workshop will help you balance your goals and experiences for the coming year.
