Kara Grayson, LCSW

Kara Grayson, LCSW, is a psychotherapist specializing in cognitive, behavioral, interpersonal, and supportive therapies. She began her clinical career working with children, families, and perinatal women within a hospital setting. Kara utilizes evidence-based, effective therapy methods to identify and treat the issues that are causing you to feel overwhelmed, anxious, and highly stressed. Kara uses a compassionate problem solving and a collaborative approach to develop strategies to manage feelings of guilt, sadness and worry, adjusting to new life transitions, and balancing the needs of family, relationships, and self.

Kara has specialized training in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, grief and bereavement, and family systems therapy. Her experience as a parent offers a deep compassion for and understanding of clients’ experiences and emotions. Her work extends throughout the life course to a specific expertise in grief, especially in perinatal diagnoses. Kara graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a B.A and received her MSW from the Silver School of Social Work at New York University.
